SUNDAY MORNING PRAYERS with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE: “But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,” 2 Timoty3:10-14
Father in Heaven as we open Your word once again, we are very mindful that in this day and time we need a true Word. We need You to help us think straight and to see life from Your perspective. As we come to the end of this year anticipating going into the next, we realize Father, that We have so much further to go in becoming like Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We ask now that You would use this servant to speak once again in accordance to Your Word. That Your Word would do a great work of impacting each one of our hearts, for You know all of us from the inside out and nothing about us escapes You. We ask that You would have Your way and speak and challenge and encourage and rebuke to the degree that You are pleased. So that we would be further equipped and prepared as it is Your will to go into a New Year with a sharpened focus to be better to the glory and praise of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. For it is in His name we do pray these things. Amen and Amen.
