The Ultimate Birth
SCRIPTURE: "For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell," Colossians 1:19
Jesus was born of God so that He might be God with us, Immanuel. We read in Colossians 1:19 that, “God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him.” The Bible often equates Jesus with God the Father, reinforcing this relationship. Genesis 1:1 tells us that God created the world, and Colossians 1:16 tells us that all things were created by Christ Jesus.
Jesus Christ is distinct from God the Father and the Holy Spirit in Their Person, yet equal with Them in His Deity. He took on human flesh being born as a baby in a world of darkness. He came for the purpose of making the invisible God visible to us in history. Jesus’ birth was a birth like no other because He is Deity like no other. Jesus came to earth as the Son of God so that we may know God and experience Him more fully.
Reflect on our Savior, our Lord and our God in flesh - Jesus Christ this Christmas and let these thoughts flood your heart with gratitude at all He is and came to be for you and for me.
PRAYER: No CHRIST, no Christmas. Know CHRIST and know Christmas. HALLELUJAH!!!
