SUNDAY MORNING PRAYERS with Pastor Wayne Cockrell
SCRIPTURE: ”But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [a]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:14-17
Our eternal God and our gracious Father in heaven, again this morning we bow our hearts before Your throne of grace in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior. As we bow, Father, we recognized our dependance upon You. We desire that the Holy Spirit would fill us that we may have enlightenment from the Holy Scriptures, that the Word of God would do a work in us that brings pleasure to Your sight. That You might help us in tearing down every stronghold and every bit of knowledge that exalts itself against You. That our hearts would be made pure as we are convicted that You might cause us, Lord, to know more and more about what you require of us. We ask Your favor upon me as a preacher, that You would use me once again that I might speak in accordance to the oracles that You have given unto us. We will give You praise and thanks Father for whatever is accomplished for we ask it all Jesus’s name, amen and amen!
