Conformed to Transformed

SCRIPTURE: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,
Yet, I’ve allowed trials, personal desires, and evil to get the best of me.

I am at the end of myself, knowingly I can’t do this alone,
So, I invite You Lord, to reveal the things You don’t condone.

I am consumed with entertaining many things the world has to offer,
But the script You intended for me to read is from a book You didn’t author.

The book I’ve chosen to read has a self-centered theme with worldly endeavors,
The main character conformed to the pattern of this world with man-made pleasures.

Lord! I rebuke the author of this world and ask for forgiveness,
What is written in the scriptures has brought me to repentance.

Lord! Give me the strength, courage, and mindset to live consistently for You,
Address what’s opposing by transforming the renewing of my mind with Your truth.

I submit to You my daily challenges, obstacles, and entanglements,
I understand that my relief, deliverance, and freedom are heaven-sent.

So, clear out the sinful suggestions that lie dormant in my mind,
Clean out the corrupt debris and remains that were left behind.

Turn away my adversaries that continually come against me,
Apprehend my weaknesses and flaws that control and limit me.

Turn down what’s loud that often distracts me,
Turn up my convictions to fight what hinders me.

Give me a stronger back for the matters that overwhelm me,
Heighten my wisdom and discernment for things that deceive me.

PRAYER: Thank You for Your mercy! Where would we be without it? Even at our worst, You extend your love to us. Continue to make us new. In the perfect name of Jesus! Amen
