Let Go and Let GOD

SCRIPTURE: “Then Jacob was left alone and a Man wrestled with him until the
breaking of day.” Genesis 32:24
In the Hebrew, the word trust means to be secure or confident. It means to cling to the
Lord no matter what happens; adhere to Him and never let go. The Lord wants us to do more than just “believe” that He can do what He says, but He wants us to cleave with all our strength.

When the fiery trials are prevailing, God and God alone must be the object of our trust.
We will either trust God or we won’t. Sometimes the Lord calms the storm; sometimes He lets the storm rage and calms His child.

As Jacob wrestled with the LORD and would not let go until He blessed him, I also
learned what it meant to wrestle with God. There was a situation in my life when I
wrestled with the Lord for three days and this brought about tension headaches
because of my worry.

After the third day, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said, “How long are you going
to worry since you don’t know how long this trial will last?” Well, I knew that I had no
idea how long it would last, so I had to cling to the Lord in a way I never had. It was a
year before the Lord came through His way for His Glory!

PRAYER: Lord, You are Sovereign over our lives. Yes, we wrestle with Your will and plans, but I am so glad that Your persistence outlasts our resistance. Hallelujah!!!
