Cherishing the Moments

SCRIPTURES: “that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” Ephesians 2:12-13

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” John 14:26

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:34
Often, I fail at valuing moments until it becomes a memory,
I am blessed, so remembering the times are complimentary.

Reminding myself that today’s moments are tomorrow’s memories,
The Lord has loved and natured me with protection from the enemy.

After all, I am saved so my future is signed and sealed with eternity,
The Holy Spirit brings me back to remembering the Lord’s promises as security.

Although, memories are wonderful to make, but sometimes painful to remember,
The grace and mercy the Lord has planted are like roses blossoming in December.

There’s a lot to consider in our lives, but we mostly remember what’s important to us,
Hiding the word in our hearts will prepare the memory of how the Lord preserved and saved us.

Yet, I spend so much time planning for tomorrow I often cause my own strife,
Ignoring a joyful and peaceful moment without realizing the moment is my life.

So, I declare today the best thing about memories is making them,
They may fade as years go by but never age as we embrace them.

Therefore, we don’t remember days, we remember moments even when they pass,
For every breath and moment, I take, I must consider someone is taking their last.

PRAYER: We are just grateful that You are in everything we experience. Whether good and bad, all works out for the good to those who love You! You are an awesome God. In the matchless name of Jesus, amen.

Amen! Even now is a cherishable moment, boasting its 'roses' before the waiting gaze. A very ingratiating reflection for the start of the day, upholding the truth of His grace.
