Who We Are

SCRIPTURE: "To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace."  Ephesians 1:6-7.
Scripture teaches who we are once we are in Jesus Christ. We are forgiven, born-again
believers in the most High God of the universe and the heavens. Acts 16:31, "believe on the
Lord Jesus, and you and your household shall be saved." Then 2 Corinthians 5:17, teaches, not only are we saved, but we are made a new creation. The saved and newly created saint of the Lord Jesus is victorious, yes, triumphant according to 1 Corinthians 15:57 and 2 Corinthians 2:14. We have been redeemed by the Christ, our Messiah. It is so sweet to be accepted in the Beloved!

With all of what Christ has done for us and made us to be, our unique identity extends much further than race, creed, tribe or religion. We have relationship with the only wise God. This outweighs all else. Though we remain on earth in the flesh, we are royal priesthood seated in heavenly places. We are called to diligently raise our gaze to please our Lord!  We will please God as He promises to conform us to the image of His Son, His Christ. Therefore, in our submission to Him, we will grow from faith to faith. He causes His priority to be our priority. He directs us to be sober, vigilant, alert to distractions of life that can cause us to stay too long in fruitless rabbit holes, such as being offended, oppressed, or depressed. We possess capacity to resist temptation that threatens our communion with Him. He is our Master, Savior, Lord, and King. In His Word, we are called to be humble, pray always, and reach others with the Gospel. We are to have His mind; precious is our faith. For we are sealed people of God! Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You have saved men to be effective in bringing You glory. We believe Your Word is truth; and pray that we set aside all weighty and worldly ideas and thoughts to live, exist, and have our being in all that You purpose and assign us to do. In Jesus’ Name-Amen!
