The Battle is Won

SCRIPTURES:  “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” I Corinthians 15:57
“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6
Many days in life, we can find ourselves in what we sometimes call, “bad days”. We pray and it still seems like our feelings of defeat win. It is so beneficial to practice a “God response.” Though we feel the pain, we can choose to discover and or review passages of scripture where God shows-off and shines so greatly that what we call a miracle is performed and identified. These “miracle” moments in scripture often bring us to Praise & glory to our God!

We can read of Daniel placed in the Lion’s den (Daniel 6) and Shadrach, Meshach and
Abednego’s experience and their faith perspective of being placed in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3). These God-believers lived despite the reality of what should have brought death. We learn that though, in this flesh, we the saints of God can never be self-sufficient to stand against the battles of life. In God’s Christ, we are so loved that we are affectionately known as His redeemed, yes, we are overcomers in every trouble, tribulation we may face in this life. Grateful, that nothing and no event can ever separate us from Christ’s unconditional love (Romans 8). Christ’s work is finish. No stain that has or will scar us is able to stand against the work of Christ. Life can throw rocks and hard balls that are manifested in our health, on our job, and Lord knows, at home! However, our God is so much Greater. We must be diligent to believe He is! He is our eternal and gracious Father, yes, the only Lover of our souls. He is able to take us from faith to faith.

Reading the testimony of those who have gone before us, yes, “the great cloud of witnesses” mentioned in Hebrews 1 and sharing our own life events with one another can cause us to stand in the midst of life’s terrors. We are able, with clarity, realize that this world and this life is not our home! Our eternal Destination is at Home with our God and Savior! Hallelujah!!

PRAYER: Lord, we thank You for the ups and downs of life; and how you have hemmed us up to one another. Help us to know our cycles of being in and out of crisis are to cause us to be dependent upon You and Your plan for us to have a one another mindset. You have made it so we do not have to ever be without Hope. For because of our regular fellowship with the saints; and our regular visits to scripture we can rise above all of what happens to discourage us here. We say thank You, oh God... In Jesus’ Name-Amen!
