A Woman’s Place is a Place of Worth to Christ

SCRIPTURE: “Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Luke 1:45
Women, do you know your place?
It's a hard question to ask if you are uncertain, yet walk in God's grace.

Jesus shows us that He values all.
He took stock in many and women heard His call.

They knew His name and believed His words.
And because of their faith; women through Christ were heard!

Many stories were told about women the Bible didn’t name.
And after their Jesus encounter their lives were changed.

Take the woman all alone at the well.
Jesus spoke with her and didn’t care who she’d tell.
He changed her life when He spoke of her fall;
But He loved her still and she did tell all. (John 4:4-26)

She was a woman the Bible didn’t name.
And after her Jesus encounter her life was changed!

How about the woman who took a chance,
Went out in public in her circumstance?
With her blood disease, in public she should not have went.
But she was healed when she touched the hem of His garment (Luke 8:43-48).

She is a woman the Bible didn’t name.
And after her Jesus encounter her life was changed!

Consider the adulterous woman who was brought forth in shame.
Her accusers demanded she should be blamed.
Her sin was hers, but she wasn’t alone;
Jesus stepped in – He without sin cast the first stone. (John 8:1-11)

She is a woman the Bible didn’t name,
And after her Jesus encounter her life was changed!

Remember, the woman who dried Jesus’ feet with her hair.
She used all her expensive oil and didn’t care?
Humble she came and changed she left.
Her encounter with Jesus was the best. (Luke 7:36-50)

She was a woman the Bible didn’t name,
And after her Jesus encounter her life was changed!

Luke 10:38-42 speaks of a woman who knew her place;
She stayed quiet and rarely showed her face.
She knew how to work and not be heard.
She did it well; cooked, cleaned, and served.

Her house was special; its visitor great,
Martha planned and worked, and she knew He’d appreciate.
But Mary, you see, left all the work to be done.
She chose to sit at the feet of God’s only Son.

But Jesus saw and Jesus knew,
That He must speak to Martha before the day was through.
He treated her special. He called her by name:
“Martha, Martha,” and her life was changed.

Martha was busy, she didn’t slow down.
She had much to do, Jesus was in town.
See, He would come to her house, much had to be done,
Martha had no time to sit with God’s Son.

But Jesus loved Martha and wanted her there…
Sitting with Him learning what He had to share.
He lovingly chided her so she would improve,
And gave us all a lesson that we could use.

Here is a woman the Bible named.
She had an encounter with Jesus and her life was changed.

She had to learn one important thing;
The importance of worshipping with Jesus, the King!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, help us understand that our place is a place of worth. Help us know the power of our place and our position. Thank You, for Your Word that teaches, leads, and guides. Help us, Lord, to remember the women of the Bible and to know our greatness, our uniqueness, our worth. Remind us Lord that the job we have to do is important and necessary to Kingdom building. Lord, teach us how to walk in Your spirit and in Your might. Remind us that blessed is she who believes for there will be fulfillment of those things which were told from You. Thank You, Father, for Your patience with our idiosyncrasies.
Thank You, Father, for loving us through our insecurities. Thank You, Father, for loving us enough to correct us. Thank You, Father, for Your grace and mercy and for Your Son, who died on the cross for our sins. In Jesus name, Amen.
