Blessed Opportunities-But Annoyed
SCRIPTURE: “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

While at school, I often dreaded getting out of bed from my afternoon nap to trudge across campus to attend a rehearsal for MY OWN music. What a problem to have, right? I had to remind myself that none of these opportunities had to happen at all. See, I appreciated the blessing, but it was the process which often annoyed me. I only wanted the result, but both the process and the result are equally important. Through patience, the Lord taught me to truly appreciate and observe the intricacies of any process, because the quality of the process impacts the quality of the results. With God’s blessings of opportunities (whether it’s work, classes, or anything else that’s consistent) we can become so accustomed to His goodness, then allow ourselves to become discouraged or irritated because of how tedious a blessed opportunity has become. In those moments when you feel most irritated, stop and thank God for placing you there in the first place, and abide in His peace and patience to help you through your process.
PRAYER: Dear Jesus, Thank You for providing me with every opportunity. Forgive me, Lord, for the times when I was irritated or despised the process for creating works ordained by You. I pray that I will remember that my work is not supposed to glorify or comfort me, but to be a blessing and testimony of You to others. At the end of the day, all the glory, honor, and praise go to You. In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen.

Amen sister Chloe!
A gentle reminder that it ain't about us. There's always a purpose in HIS plan for us.
Blessings Kingdom Woman for the pain that brings the praise in the process. Jesus is GLORIFIED!!!
Amen.
Amen, Sister Chloe, thanks for the reminder of 'in all things give thanks.' Gratitude will put color to the gray of 'the process' and be an open door to greater blessings. May Jesus be praised!
Yes my dear, it is good to do a self check and thank the Lord with, as Sis. Cheryl Torain calls it, “A Right Now Praise!” Thank You Jesus!
Amen Sister Chloe! God reminds us that in Christ all opportunities, are possible or turned into blessings!!
Sister Chloe, thank you for the reminder that if we don't go through the process, there will be no results. I appreciate your honesty about your personal struggle. I have a couple of goals such as learning to speak Spanish and playing the clarinet. I know I will not accomplish any results in either if I don't go through the process of practicing. It is clear in scripture that God uses the prepared even when He is personally engaged in the preparation. Thank you for the encouragement of your personal testimony.
Amen!! What an encouraging devotional. Thanks for sharing.
