Peace in the Storm

SCRIPTURE: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3
Life often brings waves of uncertainty, stress, and unexpected challenges. In those moments, God doesn’t promise the absence of trouble—but He does promise perfect peace to those who keep their minds fixed on Him. That kind of peace comes not from control but from trust. When we truly rely on God’s faithfulness, our inner world can remain calm even if the world around us is shaking. Staying our minds on God means choosing to meditate on His Word, His promises, and His goodness rather than our fears. It’s a daily decision to trust rather than panic, to worship rather than worry. As we do, God faithfully guards our hearts with a peace that is rooted in Him, not in our circumstances.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for being my peace. Help me to keep my mind stayed on You today. When fear rises, remind me of Your faithfulness. I choose to trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Amen! It doesn't take a hard look to recognize the whirlwind of curious, even lamentable circumstances in our world today... but we can have a firm foundation in Christ when all else is shifting sand. His faithfulness can be counted on as very present, and everlasting. Praise be to God. Thank you, Brother Gregory, for your 'on-time' reflections.

Bro, Gregory, as I read your devotional this morning, I am reminded that our peace comes not from external sources but from keeping our minds on the Lord. Thank you for the reminder.
