Are You A Fan Or Follower of Christ

Lord!
You are awesome in all your ways,
You are the orchestrator of all my days.

The love you have demonstrated to me is unmatched,
All that I am, Your grace and mercy are attached.

Your Word describes the miracles and wonders You’ve performed,
I’ve observed and admired how the unrighteous were transformed.

Lord! I am simply a fanatic of Your unwavering and sovereign hands,
You are a provider, keeper, and deliverer of challenging demands.

Therefore, I praise You as a witness of what You’ve done and for what You are doing in advance,
I am in awe and amazement, I admire and adore You, and lastly, I am Your biggest fan.

Servant!
You’ve read, experienced, and observed My ways and truth,
However, your purpose is to imitate Me so others can observe you.

You were made by Me, for Me,
Life will not make sense, until you agree.

I desire a deeper relationship with you that goes beyond admiration,
I need followers of My will, not fans, to impact upcoming generations.

So, I call for followers willing to deny themselves, and take up their cross,
Actively engaging in acts of faith and service, despite the sacrifice and cost.

Once You are saved, You are heaven's representative on earth,
The standard, expectation, and commands are written to search.

Your identity is to be a visible and verbal follower of My Son Jesus Christ,
No longer living for yourself, but for the Christ that dwells in you, who gave His life.

So, My instruction is to go and make disciples of all nations by baptizing and teaching them,
If you follow My Son through faith, imitate His love and character, and He will make you fishers of men.

Lord!
The choice of whether my stand is to be a Christ follower or fan is at hand,
The difference is like a participant on the field, to a viewer or observer in the stands.

Fans of Christ will serve when things are good, but bail out when things get hard,
Followers of Christ know that all things work together for the good of those who love God.

Fans of Christ look forward to what they can get from the Lord primarily,
Followers of Christ look forward to blessing others solely and regularly.

Fans of Christ are ashamed of the Gospel when they are challenged, questioned, or accused,
Followers of Christ are dependent, fearless, and prepared to spread the Good News.

PRAYER: Lord! We call on You to lead us in the way we should go as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. We ask this in Your Son's name!
