To Serve Like Jesus

SCRIPTURE: “…just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 11:28
The realities of ministry are not foreseen when our hearts are burning with passion by our calling from the Lord. Yet, it is through human weakness and emptiness that the power of God is seen in its greatest strength working through a servant of Christ. II Corinthians 4:10 says” …always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.”

There are times when you won’t feel appreciated; believers will hurt you intentionally and unintentionally; sometimes you will not see the fruit of your labor; sometimes you will feel like a failure; even your fears will overshadow the greatness of our God, but to know that you are emptying is adding to someone’s growth and bringing glory to the Lord Jesus Christ is all worth it! Even when great energy is expended and you are exhausted, there is a joy and privilege of having poured out to others and yet finding yourself refreshed and energized. I call those days or times “that’s a good tired!!”

The Lord knows when to send that particular card, phone call or word of appreciation to minister to your heart. Is there someone that the Lord has put on your heart in ministry that He wants you to encourage? They have poured into you – now pour back into them.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for many brothers and sisters in Christ who express Your heart
of love in many ways and through many means at Your right time. All Praises to You, LORD!!!
