Jesus Is Bigger Than Death
SCRIPTURE: “And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: 9 “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” ’ Revelation 2:8-11

We know that death is coming sooner or later,
Still, there is nothing or no one greater than our Savior.
Even death takes a back seat to Jesus Christ’s glory,
My willingness to give up carnality will refine the story.
This will reveal whether our faith is full of Jesus,
Nothing else should occupy His place of allegiance.
After all, faith is not just my ability to hold on to Him,
It’s Christ's ability to hold on to me that delivers us from where we’ve been.
So, my faith looks up to His supremacy and authority intentionally,
It inspires my commitment to Him while anticipating and expecting victory.
True faith is not confined merely for now,
When death comes, faith becomes sight and abounds.
Although life is appointed to death, true faith carries affirmation,
What we have in Christ curates fidelity and loyalty, despite tribulations.
It’s encouraging that Jesus knows the suffering before us,
Yet, true faith will see dark days, but He promised to be there with us.
He allows the works, tribulations, and poverty that exist,
So, no matter what suffering is before us, true faith keeps us rich.
He knows the struggles and heartaches we are going through,
He sympathizes with us because He’s been through it too.
Don’t forget, Christ experienced the death that’s appointed,
Those who believe in Him will die and live again, as His anointed.
So, there should be no fear, true faith is wonderful,
Our Lord Jesus Christ promises rewards for the faithful.
Hallelujah! I am blessed although I am tested,
True faith establishes believers as Christ's investment.
Therefore, Jesus calls us to be faithful until death,
True faith perseveres and abides to provide hope and eternal rest.
Prayer: Thank You for the hope You provide! In the matchless name of Jesus Christ I pray.
