The Gospel is Meant to be Shared

SCRIPTURE:  “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the  power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith.'” Romans: 1:16 – 17
Many people say that the Gospel is confusing. Their unbelief makes it difficult for them to understand what has been done for them. Christians, however, understand the blessing and miracle of the Gospel. To share the gospel to unbelievers and/or skeptics believers must remember to not be condescending (acting superior or better than) and to keep the Gospel simple. Sometimes that can be difficult for the zealous Christian who knows what they know and knows the importance of salvation. Moreover, although, it is true that if a person does not accept Jesus, he will go to hell that may not be the best avenue to take to win a soul to Christ initially. The job of the believer is to share the Gospel (plant the seed), have faith that God will water that seed, and believe that God’s Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). God’s Word will always accomplish its purpose. This does not mean hide your excitement about the saving grace of Christ but instead consider your audience. Keep the Gospel simple.

The song, Glorious Day, does that. It says:
Living He loved me (John 15:9).
Dying He saved me (1 John 2:2).
Buried He carried my sins far away (1 Peter 2:24).
Rising He justified, freed me forever (Romans 8:1).
One day He’s coming back…Glorious Day (Revelation 1:7).

PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to remember that Your Word does not need help. Help us to remember that winning souls is Your job not ours. Help us to remember that we are supposed to go out and share the gospel. Help us, Lord, not to be condescending but still speak the truth. Lord, we are grateful for Your Word that reaches everyone, and we are thankful that You allow us to be Your disciples. Help us Lord, to represent You well. In the name of Jesus, Amen,

Amen! Always be ready to seize the opportunity to share the gospel to boys and girls, men and women. The Lord will put the words in your mouth at the time you have the need to speak. Trust Him!
