SUNDAY MORNING PRAYERS with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE: “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. 7 For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: 8 “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness,” Psalm 95:6-8
Our eternal God and gracious Father, we thank You once again this morning for the great gift of Your Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Our hearts as a people are gathered in Your name and we melt in Your presence recognizing Your awesomeness and how great You are in the many ways You have manifested Your grace and Your faithfulness to us, and in saying that we are also mindful that we have been unworthy. With all the blessings You have bestowed upon us, surely You have been better to us than we have deserved, but we thank You! We lift up voices of praise and thanksgiving to You, because we know that we would not be here today if it wasn’t for Your loving kindness and tender mercies. Father, for those who are struggling You know all the issues of life, there is nothing that escapes Your knowing. We pray God that You would speak a Word into that heart today that You might cause us as Your people to have a Word applied to our hearts that moves us into a direction that You want us to be in. That You would clear up our confusion, that You might heal our hurts, that You might reveal Your Son Jesus to us and manifest, Father, the revelation of Who You are, because we know the people who know their God shall be strong and shall do many wonderful and great things, Father. So we want to be among that number of people who know You very well. Use this preacher, I pray, to speak in accordance to Your Word, so that people leave having said, “We heard God speak to us!” We will give You praise and give You thanks. In Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen!
