CANDIDATES AND LEADERS: The Elephant in the Room
45 Days of Praying for the Elections - DAY 19
SCRIPTURE: “But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed
by one another!” Galatians 5:15
by one another!” Galatians 5:15

Oh, the ruckus and derision that is caused when we are carefully driven away from the elephant in the room. When the shade is pulled so low that the trivial matters are elevated while the more urgent matters are concealed. It boils down to nonsense. May our candidates in this 2024 Presidential Election know their critical role and realize their stand on the essential matters are only what their constituents will be considering to cast a vote.
The Word of God has a lot to say to us about how we are to treat one another as mankind on this side of heaven. Let us look at the following verses: Ephesians 4:29 (set aside unwholesome talk and build up each other); I Peter 2:1-15 (let us stop hurting others with our words of jealousy, lying and foolery); I Corinthians 4:13 (encourage one another); I Peter 4:13 (react to our enemies by praying for forgiveness); Proverbs 6:19 (slander sows only discord). May our candidates come close to what God has said about how our behavior and conduct should be.
Prayer: Lord, let us be grateful for Your words of correction and guidance, so much so, that we begin to live a sold-out life for You. Let us know nothing beside what You have said. Help us to be the light in this dark culture and reveal the craftiness of our enemy. Oh, Lord, help us to live above and beyond what we see and grasp a hold of Your great truths that we may be examples of Your love and grace. May we snatch every opportunity to raise Your Holy and Righteous Name, Jesus; for it is in Your Name we pray-Amen!

Amen!?
A "Right Now" word of truth. Amen!!
Amen inspite all their back and forth, Lord let us not be distracted by them, but look beyond them to see the future impact of their policies.
Let's not bite but bless ... 'to the glory of God!', and discover in Him, our kinship.
