OUR NATION AND THE ISSUES IT FACES: The Truth Shall Make You Free

SCRIPTURE: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Let’s examine what is valued in American society,
The foundation of faith once reigned, yet no longer is the priority.

As a result, people are lost, searching, and wandering,
Arrested and misled by worldly values stewing in bondage.

Even the church has drifted from God’s truth,
Supporting candidates with popularity while excusing biblical proof.

This causes concern as our nation exists with no accountability,
A society relying on a selective truth rather than Biblical responsibilities.

Enslaved, but don’t even know it,
Disciples, but refusing to show it.

Jesus told believers, if you abide in My Word, you are My disciples,
So, if we are one nation under God, our values must imitate and reflect the Bible.

The nation cannot allow our views, feelings, and standards to have the final say,
Our truth, what matters to us, and our preferences may not align with His way.

So, seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness,
Decrease what’s right in our eyes and acknowledge His truthfulness.

Now! We are encouraged for a nation that’s consumed with evil, sin, and lust,
A faith that depends on things not seen, to assure the scripture, “My God, in Him will I trust”

Therefore, the Lord says we shall know the truth as a nation who believes,
No longer are we slaves or in bondage, and the truth will make us free.

Prayer: Lord! Thanks for Your mercy! Redirect Your people to become a nation that lives and depends on Your truth. Give us You as our only option. In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ! Amen.
