SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE: “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19

Our eternal Father and our gracious God, we gather our hearts before You today in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, our great Savior at Your right-hand making intercession for us. We rejoice today to be able to come and open Your Word for we have come to know that the entrance of It does gives us light, gives us understanding. You build us up from the inside out and You feed that part of us that nothing else in this world can, and we thank You for that. Father, I ask today that You would speak through these lips of clay with authority and accuracy and power. That You would bless Your people that we through the hearing of the Word would be encouraged that our faith would be built up, Lord God, and that we might have greater, greater confidence in the things that You say to us, knowing that You see all things at once and nothing is hidden from Your sight. So speak to us as You know exactly what we need and we’ll give You praise once again and give You thanks, in the Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen.
