Praying On a Master Plan
If you want to avoid a counterfeit, you should study the real thing. The same goes for the Word of God, which educates on the real and the counterfeit so that when the counterfeit shows up, they are already exposed. This week, our Devotional Team addresses the topic, “Satan’s Desire to Devour the Ministry” and will address just how intentional we must be in our pursuit of our relationship with Christ and the Word of God! This is another “must have” scripture!
SCRIPTURE: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8

The Lord has equipped us on how to respond to our adversary,
Being sober, alert, vigilant, and watchful are biblically mandatory.
Spiritual warfare is certain, so preparation is how we contend, defend, and spiritually win,
Unless we are sober in body and mind, we will not be watchful of ourselves, others, or sin.
So, let us be clear by first identifying our adversary,
They are enemies and opposition that see biblical truth as contrary.
If not watchful or guarded, we are liable to every sin and temptation,
Aware that the enemy is powerful, cunning, and malicious with a deceiving orientation.
Therefore, I have to be sensible, wise, prudent, and practical,
The evil one will woo and flatter us with a pursuit that’s wicked, yet subtle.
When things are going well, evil creeps in like a thief in the night,
Or engaging a person with evil intent, yet he or she appears pleasant in sight.
He is always on the prowl, seeking those he can consume and devour,
He latches on to those who are weak, vulnerable, proud, resting, and full of desires.
He breathes out against the saints, although he cannot destroy them,
As long as he can occupy, corrupt, confuse, and periodically use them.
Full of surprises, he rises, and what we think is good becomes our very crisis,
Keeping us at bay, doubtful, skeptical, faithless, and unrighteous.
Christians must activate self-control to ensure stability in the changing circumstances of life,
This stability comes from their ability to apply truth to any situation that may lead to conflict, fear, or strife.
After all, satan cannot do anything without the Lord’s permission,
So, we must keep in mind that he wants to rotten and spoil our conditions.
Therefore, we have to choose to avoid drunkenness of our senses and souls,
Adhering to the Holy Spirit, applying what was written, and living with self-control.
Refusing to be overtaken or overcharged with the concerns of the world,
Vigilant to block curses and strongholds through men, women, boys, and girls.
So, for satan’s desire to devour marriages, families, churches, and ministry,
The saints of God will need to resist him and remain steadfast in the faith for righteous chemistry.
Prayer: Lord! Strengthen and teach me how to do my part in remaining sober and diligent. I am guilty of taking things for granted or even taking breaks. The Bible tells me that satan is never on leave of absence. You have prepared me for spiritual warfare. Condition me to fight with Your biblical truth by the second. I am reminded of Your promise to never leave me nor forsake me. You are an awesome God! In the name of Your Son Jesus Christ.

Amen! Lord, help me to always be watchful of the schemes of the enemy!!!
Amen!!
We must be sober and vigilant as equipped to face the cozy subtlety and boisterous malignancy of the opposition, recognizing a 'house' divided will hardly stand... "all hands on deck!" Let iron sharpen iron, in well-aligned fellowship. Amen.
Amen!
Hallelujah!!! Amen!!!
Amen!!
Amen! Very dynamic Devotional!!
Amen!!! We must yield to the Holy Spirit so we don't conform to the world.
