We Don’t Have to Guess to Know God’s Will

Saints, we were saved to grow and this week our Devotional team have addressed the topic of “Wisdom and Spiritual Understanding from God.” We pray that God's Word and their perspectives have challenged and encouraged you.
SCRIPTURE:  For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God…”   Colossians 1:9, 10 NKJV
There is no need to guess at how to please God,
Prayer, reading the Word, and adhering to the Holy Spirit is the start.

The Colossians were good people, yet their struggle was spiritual maturity,
Paul prayed for their spiritual development for God’s will to become the priority.

Our relationship with the Lord should be an experience that is transforming,
Our knowledge of Him must increase for our walks to become true and worthy.

Contentment with just calling Him our savior implies limitations and emptiness,
But to call Him Lord and Savior will confirm His authority and preeminence.

Fill us Lord with Your knowledge that grants wisdom and spiritual understanding,
We desire a deep comprehension of who You are, and what Your will is demanding.

Holy Spirit!
Enable us to live in right relationship with You and others,
Enlighten us to respond godlier to what we will discover.

Holy Spirit!
Empower us to go through circumstances with a heavenly mindset,
Ensure us with Your promises to withstand the obstacles we will get.

As we live in the power of the indwelling Spirit, our faith will manifest through storms,
A life pleasing to the Lord is where favor, blessings, and fruit are produced and borne.

Yet, it's my responsibility to pray, meditate, and seek Your ways,
Give us the heart to know, eyes to see, and ears to hear every day.

Therefore, Colossians Chapter 1 requires support for the reward,
Verse 9 represents being filled with his knowledge, verse 10 represents living for the Lord.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for inviting us to know You personally. Thank You for making all we need available to experience You daily. Thank You for Your patience and faithfulness. Holy Spirit, continue to enlighten me with my Father’s knowledge. I lift this prayer in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ! Amen.
