To Love Like Christ
What do you know, it's a Leap Year and on this additional day of February we are still focused on love, the love of Christ. How do we possess and show the true love of Christ? Our Devotional Team have purposed to encourage you on, "Manifestations of the True Love of Christ." Purpose to hide this Word in your heart and apply it!
SCRIPTURE: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another." John 13:34
SCRIPTURE: "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away." 1 Corinthians 13:1-8

There is a reason that You did not leave it up to us how to love,
Our feelings, thoughts, limitations, and favoritism would be partially involved.
The love You require is manifested only through the Holy Spirit,
The love that can be activated anytime, not merely for occasional visits.
To exhibit Your love is only comparable to how You love me,
I was nurtured and forgiven graciously, patiently, and faithfully.
Certainly, my faith, good deeds, and gifts are fruitful and becoming,
But the Word of God says, without love, we have nothing.
Even with favor, noble gestures, and the acquisition of many things,
My sacrifices, worldly incentives, and rewards profit me nothing.
Therefore, I will consider what love looks like according to the Lord,
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and all things are endured.
Love does not envy, parade itself, behave rudely, or seek its own,
It is not provoked, thinks no evil, or puffed-up conduct is shown.
Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth,
How I love my neighbor, enemies, and others reveals the proof.
This will remind us that love never fails and it suffers long,
Kindness amongst many godly actions keeps our faith alive and strong.
So, knowing how undeserving and unworthy I’ve been in my life,
I have an understanding I need to be taught how to love like Christ.
Prayer: Lord, You are the perfect model of love. Holy Spirit, teach me how to love. My gratitude heightens when I consider how You love me. Thank You for your patience and faithfulness. You are an awesome God! I honor You in the name of Jesus.
