Dressed in the Whole Armor of God for Spiritual Warfare

We begin February with devotionals based on our prayer list. For the next week our focus will be on  Dressed In the Whole Armor of God for Spiritual Warfare  from Ephesians 6:10-18. As Pastor Cockrell adamantly reminded us last month, Saints, meditate on this Word!
SCRIPTURE: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [a]wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [b]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—” Ephesians 6:10-18
Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (Romans 8:30) The overall purpose of God’s church is to bring praise and glory to Himself. He reconciled us to Himself and to each other and has given us everything that we need to stand in this evil day.

Not my armor, but God’s. Truth– desiring to please Christ (my purpose); God’s breastplate of righteousness; feet ready run and share the Gospel; faith to shield me from the darts of the enemy; the helmet of an assured salvation and my two-edged sword – God’s rhema Word!! I choose to take up my armor, I choose to withstand, and I choose to stand because the battle has already been won at the cross of Calvary by our Lord Jesus Christ!!! Hallelujah!!!

Prayer: Thank You precious Lord for the joy that was set before You that You endured the cross for me. May I, who have been fully equipped with everything I need to run my race, endure by faith to please You.
