SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

Scripture: "For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light."  Colossians 1:9-12
Prayer: Father, we once again open Your Word. We are thankful for Your Word. We are witnesses here at this church that this Word has changed our lives. It has given unto us light, and It has sanctified us down to the core of our being so that those who have obeyed It, those of us who have taken It in and become a part of us can testify that It has changed us. That It has equipped us. It has given unto us the wisdom and guidance we have needed in this very complex world that we have been called to live in. Once again, we open Your Word because we know that we need It. We are convinced that we need to hear from You.  So we pray this day that You will bless this people with spiritual understanding that through It Father, we might indeed find that drive in our hearts to be fruitful in every good work as You equip us through this Word. When it is all said and done, we will be careful to give You all the praise, honor, and the glory for we ask it in Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen!
