What God has Showed Me…HIS GREAT JOY!

June has featured Devotionals written by our GBFC Youth. Here is what God is doing in the lives of our youth. Be encouraged by the Word of God and their devotional that they are sharing today!
SCRIPTURE:  "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy, at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." Psalms 16:11
God has shown His love towards us by allowing us to have a relationship Him. God gives us joy by pouring His joy in us. This great joy He gives us comes through as we read and believe the Bible, and His joy can carry us as we trust Him through struggles with life situations. Jesus hears us when we call His name. He encourages us, filling us with joy when we pray to him. Only God can give us the ability to respond to life`s difficult circumstances with that inner contentment and satisfaction. Nehemiah 8:10 says: “He said to them, ‘Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.’” When one individual becomes a Christian, and is united to God through faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit imparts these qualities to the believer. Joy is also an integral part of the kingdom of God and will exist wherever believers are present. Many Christians can attest to being involved in the spread of the gospel, which brings joy to the believer`s heart.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please reveal the path of life to Your children. Help us to fully understand that, in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures. In Jesus name, Amen!
