WHAT GOD HAS SHOWN ME…His Timing is perfect.

June 16th, 2023

June will feature Devotionals written by our GBFC Youth. It is good to read godly inspiration from our youth. Be encouraged by God's Word working in the hearts of our young people.

PRAYER: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

God showed me that going to Concordia Prep at this time was not in His plan. His timing was different than what I expected. I’m happy to attend another school with the same friends and former middle school football teammates.

PRAYER: Dear God, I am thankful that you chose the school for me, where I will have the most success. Who knows, maybe at some time I can go there for 11th grade? I will always trust in God and what He does. Amen.

Yes, Bro. Amir, trusting in the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, no matter the age. As the Lutheran theologian, Reinhold Niebuhr has expressed, may the Lord grant you the Serenity to accept the things that you cannot change, the Courage to change the things you can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Amir, God is faithful. What He has for you - is for you alone. When he closes a door, don't tug on the handle. He is opening a window of opportunities for you beyond what you can think or imagine. You need your hands free to grab hold of those opportunities.
