WHAT GOD HAS SHOWN ME: OVERCOMING DEPRESSION AND NOT LETTING IT WIN
June will feature Devotionals written by our GBFC Youth. It is good to read godly inspiration from our youth. Be encouraged by God's Word working in the hearts of our young people.

SCRIPTURE: “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
Depression can be a relentless battle that seeks to consume our joy, steal our hope, and leave us feeling defeated. But in the face of this darkness, God reveals His power and shows us that we don’t have to let depression have the final say in our lives. Through the words of Philippians 4:13, God reminds us that we are not alone in this struggle. We have access to His limitless strength, which enables us to rise above the grip of depression. It is through Him, through His empowering presence, that we can navigate the darkest valleys and emerge victorious. God shows us that we are not defined by our depression. Though it may try to define our identity, our worth, and our future, God’s truth declares that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. He has a purpose for our lives that transcends our circumstances, and He equips us with the strength to overcome. Remember that overcoming depression is not an easy journey, but with God’s strength, we can face it head-on.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for revealing Your strength to me. Help me to grasp the truth that I can do all things through You. In moments of despair, remind me that depression does not have the final say in my life. Empower me to overcome and rise above it. May Your strength be my anchor and my source of hope. In Jesus’ name, amen.
