SCRIPTURE: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 NIV
God wants us to repent when we sin. He wants me to do this because it feels really bad when I sin and the feeling of guilt sticks. But once we confess our sins we are cleansed. I remember I felt bad about hitting my sibling, so I prayed to God and asked for His forgiveness.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, I am so sorry for _____. Since I know that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, I know you will forgive me. In Jesus name, Amen.
