Permission to Have Power!

SCRIPTURE: “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, 17 Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.  18 ‘Come now, and let us reason together,’ Says the Lord, ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; 20 But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword’; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” Isaiah 1:16-20
The Bible tells us to not lean on our own understanding. There is a way that seems right unto a man. You can’t trust you. There needs to be a check system.  I need my thinking checked. I need my thinking to be challenged. God says, “Let us reason together.” The reason that many of us have strongholds is that we are not reasoning with God. We’re reasoning within ourselves; we’re reasoning with the people around us who are just as carnal as we are. God says, “Reason with Me. You reason with Me you will see what I see.”  Demons are behind the issue of strongholds. They are behind the issue of idolatry. They can only occur in our lives when we give territory or permission. No demon can occupy any fortress in your mind unless you give permission. That is your mind which has been purchased by the blood of Jesus. Just like Adam was created and given authority over what God had given him, you and I have been saved and given the authority of Jesus to walk in His power, but it does not mean that you are not immune to surrendering your authority for liberty that becomes bondage.

PRAYER:
Jesus, the picture appears bleak at times, but our one consolation is that we have You to turn in to and repent. To admit that “Yes, this is us! We did this thing!” Against You and You alone have we sinned and done this evil in Your sight. We need Your help Almighty Father. Like disobedient children who return broken to their father, we need Your help to dismantle all thrones, powers, and dominions that You told us not to have. You desire better things for us, things that lead to life. We hadn’t seen that before.  So now Lord, with a renewed mind, we will seek You while You may be found. We will seek You with our whole heart.  In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
