Light That Generates Change

Scripture: “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.  I opened my mouth and panted, for I longed for Your commandments.   Look upon me and be merciful to me, as Your custom is toward those who love Your name. Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me.” Psalm 119:130-133

Prayer: Father, we once again open Your Word. We are thankful for Your Word.  For we are witnesses here at this church that that this Word has changed our lives. It has given unto us light, and it has sanctified us down to the core of our being. So that those who have obeyed it, those of us who have taken it in and become a part of us, can testify that it has changed us. It has equipped us. It has given unto us the wisdom and guidance we’ve needed in this very complex world that we’re called to live in. Once again, we open it, Father, because we know that we need it. We are convinced that we need to hear from You. So we pray this day that You will bless this people with spiritual understanding, that through it Father, we might indeed find that drive in our hearts to be fruitful in every good work as You equip us through this Word. We ask Your favor upon this servant that You would use me once again to speak in accordance to Your oracles and when it’s all said and done, we’ll be careful to give You all the praise, the honor and the glory.  We ask it in Jesus name, Amen!
