According to What I’ve Been Through

Scripture:  2 Corinthians 12:9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

It’s nothing but the grace of a God that carries me
If I look like what I’ve been through, it will worry me

Encounters of challenges that have taken me to my break
The Lord was there for each one to deliver me for His sake

Trials that have brought many to their knees or to their end
Yet, His grace defended and delivered me, so I could contend

Matters that were beyond my control and power to withstand
Matters that could only be saved with His mighty and unlimited hands

As I look in the mirror, certainly there are many scars
Based on troubled seasons, I’ve come through safely and far

Now, I can remember my Lord as a deliverer, healer, and keeper
I’ve experienced Him exclusively as my faith awaits the next season

Now, I can personally testify as a witness of His grace
Encouraging others of His faithfulness for their designed case

The Lord never gave me more than I can bare
I’m standing in His favor, inspired to cast my cares

 Prayer: Lord, You can restore me to Your image, despite the troubled path I walk. It speaks to Your grace, and Your grace only. Thank You for keeping me! In the name of Your Son, JESUS! Amen!
