Where is the Lord in My Matters?

Scripture:  1 Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to [a]bear it.

I am grateful that I chose the will of God
However, I have an understanding that this will be hard

It’s knowing that I will be persecuted and betrayed
It’s the divine process required of becoming Saved

Yet, as circumstances and issues come my way
The question is, what am I relying on daily?

The conditions before are not according to my plans
I am struggling to survive from my mandatory demands

My job, my marriage, my relationship, my health
My thoughts, my finances, my family, need help

These matters in my life require divine intervention
I am praying and fasting, while making these petitions

So, I examine my mountains, valleys, sufferings, and challenges
Meanwhile, I am forced to ask, where is the Lord in my matters

I am guilty of detaching myself and using the Lord sparingly
Yet, I question my pain, as if He is not taking care of me

In consideration of my choices, decisions, faith, and endeavors
I rejected the Lord’s support, so the storms could be weathered

Prayer:  As I consider my choices Father, many times I chose not to include You. You told me to aim to please You, however I denied my Comforter. Forgive me Lord! I blamed everybody and everything else other than my sin. I have the ultimate power in me to do all things in Christ. Father, I repent! Continue to renew my heart and mind. I am praying to fix my eyes on You. I am praying this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
