Crawlspaces

Scripture:  Genesis 3:11 -  And HE said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

When you come to purchase and own a home, you become aware of the neighborhood, the immediate neighbors, the property boundaries, the near traffic, the grounds, the home itself, and perhaps its story. You come to know its size, its value, its physical makeup of space and rooms, its bedroom and bathroom number, as well its foundation, walls, and roof.
You come to know of its plumbing, and electrical capability as well as those surface things that give it personality, from the paint to the panels, but ... whether explored remotely or on-site, it would be a unique determination to know of the crawlspace.
Depending on the region, the style of the development where the home is, the generation of home it is, the crawlspace may vary, but it is there, though it may be absent from the blueprint, or the home inspection commentary.

It is the silent, hidden interface that separates the home's self, from that other than home, but unlike the chimney, the doors, and the windows, it's invisible.

When there is integrity it supports the aeration, the breathing of the home, its warmth or coolness, and permits only what belongs, and it does so in secret, having the occupants without concern, content.

But when it is lacking, going unnoticed, what's other-than-home mingles with what's home, often to its decline, like when our firewall fails, and our personal computer intel is corrupted... The failed firewall is like a breached crawlspace.

Or consider that 'crawlspace' between the face mask you have on, and the inner rest of your nostrils, wherewith the unfortunate breath taken having its lode of coronaviruses, allows their visiting and engaging with your nasal epithelial cells; spike protein meets ACE-2 receptor, reconfigures then docks and 'wham!'.

The space between the inside lining of the mask and your nasal mucosa is a type of crawlspace. When entered, unwanted influences can succeed.

Then there's the crawl space separating our spirit from the world, the flesh, and the devil; that crawl space is called freedom wherein Jesus awaits our Amen.
And there's the crawl space between our spirit and the world, the flesh, and the devil; that crawl space is called worship wherein Jesus awaits our Yes.

HE awaits our righteous yearning, our true hope, our abiding, and our love, awaiting the Hallelujah of our hearts. The message of the ages is there, and it is a rugged cross.
The blessing of our redemption is there, and it is the eternal promise of Jesus, of Him risen!

Nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord! [Romans 8:39]
Put that in your crawlspace sister!

Blessed is the one that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. [Jeremiah 17@7]
Put that in your crawlspace brother!

For where your treasure is, there will your heart also be.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
[Matthew 6:21,33]
Put that in your crawlspace cuz!

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.
[1Peter5:6,7]
Put that in your crawlspace friend!

He loves us and blesses us; He cares fully beyond our knowing, to provide for our needs. The Lord, our God is great!
It can be said that delight is in the details, and the Lord, our architect, has made us with exceeding care.
Shall we then heed our design, and our Designer, and delight to the uttermost in Christ!?

Eve was infected with a 'virus' of sorts, responding to the serpent, with its first question in history containing '... did God say?...' Adam followed, both permitting compromise at the level of their crawlspace, and that which began then, is the greatest pandemic even up to today. [Covid-19 pales in comparison]
But God is neither deleted, nor defeated. He is still on the throne. And the vaccine known as grace warrants no booster. What a blessed assurance!

Prayer:
Lord, let be lit our crawlspaces, we pray, as daily need.
Lord, let be lit our crawlspaces that graciousness proceed.
Yes, let be lit our crawlspaces, Thy word brought forth to heed:
Everyday, Yes Lord I pray, Amen, Thy will be done, indeed!
