Tithes

Scripture: Ezekiel 44:30 The best[a] of all firstfruits of any kind, and every sacrifice of any kind from all your sacrifices, shall be the priest’s; also you shall give to the priest the first of your ground meal, to cause a blessing to rest on your house.

Tithes and offerings indicate where we are with the Lord
Whether the Kingdom’s agenda and my faith are on one accord

However, tithes and offerings are two different things
Offering is a sacrifice, tithes are 10% earnings we bring

Considering, the Lord doesn’t need us for anything
Yet, He measures our love through tithes and offerings

The gesture of giving positions us to receive
He puts us to the test to show that we believe


Our love for Him is shown through how we are living
Sincere worship is shown through how we are giving

Offering is giving our personal money in place of our wants
Tithes are nonnegotiable payments that are made before anything else, up front

So, honor the Lord with your wealth with the first fruits of all your gains
Make sacrifices that are led by the spirit to bring glory to His name

Ultimately, consider the Kingdom as your faith draws you closer
You will be rewarded through faith by not serving Him leftovers

Prayer:  I own nothing Lord! You have been gracious enough to provide for me. I can never repay You. Yet, I can show my love for You through my obedience and sacrifice with giving. Lord, give me the appetite to give back to the Kingdom. Bless this prayer in the name of Your Son.
