I’m Going to Sleep (Expecting Joy in the Morning)

Scripture: Psalm 30:5 - For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

Lord, I’m facing desperate measures
This season is forming unbearable weather

My enemies remain persistent with opposing positions
I’ve considered tapping out with these unfavorable conditions

It’s beyond my understanding what You are forming
Although matters are scary, You promised,
JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING

As I seek You Lord, there’s been problem after problem
You’ve given me one option, the Rock at the bottom

You demonstrated Your love for me at my very worse
You promised me Living Water to quench my every thirst

It’s beyond my understanding what You are forming
Although matters appear endless, You promised,
JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING

My health needs help, Your healing is necessary
How long and strong I need to be for this pain I carry

If it ain’t one thing, it’s another that’s discovered
You kept Your word by being there for pain and recovery

It’s beyond my understanding what You are forming
Although matters are disappointing, You promised,
JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING

Death surrounds me, I’m concerned for who’s around me
It seems every morning I’m mourning, I’m grieving profoundly

Clearly, matters are getting worse, before they get better
Once again, You told me to fear not, You’re my helper and protector

It’s beyond my understanding what You are forming
Although matters are discouraging, You promised,
JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING

I’m Going to Sleep (I’m Expecting Joy in the Morning) (2)

Lord, my troubles are existing in all shapes, sizes, and forms
My lifestyle is questionable, so you’ve disrupted my norms

It’s your grace that has brought me to this place
What I bring is insufficient in the matters I face

Therefore, I’m going to sleep, despite matters are dark for a moment
I’m pray with confidence and expectation that
JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING

Prayer: Lord, Your Word encourages me. Although I may not see or understand what You are doing, Your promises gives me hope. During the worse matters, it’s You and only You who can orchestrate joy in the morning. It’s up to me to rest in You. It’s up to me to seek You. It’s up to me to be obedient. It’s up to me to know and believe Your promises. That’s when I can truly experience joy in the morning. Thank You Father! In the matchless name of Jesus Christ.
