It’s the Truth!

Scripture: “Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5b
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.” John 14:16

One day, I was driving along, just thinking about how good God is! I thought about how He wakes us up in the morning, starts us on our way, blesses and guides our lives … etc. etc. etc. I thanked Him for life, health and strength; for food, shelter and clothing; for His protection, His provision; for blessing us and keeping us, for everything He has done/is doing/will do, according to His promises in His Word. My personal prayer and praise service came to an immediate halt when it hit me – God says He will never leave nor forsake us and THEN He sends a Comforter, the Holy Spirit, that will be with us forever!!!

At first I said, “Why did it take me so long to realize this?!?? What took me so long to ‘get it’?” God, the Creator and Keeper of everything made sure that His children were never alone by putting a part of Himself inside of those who love Him and have accepted His Son, Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior. I sat there in my car and just marveled at the fact that God loves us so much that He makes sure we have any and everything we need! He IS our Source – the Source of our strength, the Strength of our lives! He truly does take care of His children!

Not only did He send His Holy Spirit to dwell within us, but He made it so that sometimes we don’t know how to pray or what to pray for. Then HE (The Holy Spirit) makes intercession for us. He speaks to Himself on our behalf! So our Heavenly Father knows what we stand in need of and He knows when we need it, how we need it AND He chooses how we receive what we need in the exact way that brings Him glory!! Isn’t that AMAZING?!?!??

God keeps His promises! We can take Him and trust Him at His Word! No matter what we have been through, are going through or will go through, He has made sure that we are never alone! ”NO! Never alone …. NO! Never alone! He promised never to leave me … never to leave me alone!”

Prayer: Dear God, I am so glad that You loved me enough to sacrifice Your Son for me and all my sin -- past, present and future! Help me remember that You are always with me – no matter where I am, no matter what I’m doing … no matter what! And help me to encourage others with my testimony and my transparency so that they know what a mighty, awesome God we serve! May all the glory, honor and praise go to You and You alone! YOU DESERVE IT!!! In Jesus’ Name we always pray, AMEN!!
