A Heart That’s Naked

Scripture: Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it?

The heart is desperately wicked, who can know it?
Only the Lord can see it without me showing it

The heart is evil, sinful, hateful, and perverted
Yet, only the Lord can judge it from each person

So, as evil arise through major heart problems
Ony the Lord can cleanse, save, and resolve them

Meanwhile, the heart will always consider its options
Whether trusting God, or choosing what man is providing

Certainly, the heart will expose me at my truest
Clearly, it’s characterized by what’s important to it

To start, man directs me to curses without growth
Yet, the Lord leads me to depend on His favor and hope

This crossroad is where I resist or choose God’s way
This determines my will, mind, and emotions daily

Therefore, motives and intent should be questioned by the second
The Lord’s eyes are the only one’s that can see a heart that’s naked


Prayer: Lord, I am amazed that You know me from the inside out and still love me. I am so undeserving of this gesture. You are an awesome God. Fix what’s evil in my heart. Make my heart appealing to You. You deserve so much praise Father. Please! Have mercy on me. I make these petitions in the name of Jesus, Amen.
