Not ONE Word!

Scripture:  Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV) - So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

History has a way of repeating itself. Not just in our day-to-day living, but in our spiritual lives too. How many times have you said, “Why do I keep going through the same thing over and over and over again?!” It’s as if God keeps sending the same trial(s) your way, giving you chance after chance to respond right. Sometimes we pass the test, sometimes we don’t;  but no matter what comes our way, we can be sure God is with us and we can certainly trust His Word to stand forever! He never changes.  It never changes! He’s dependable and trustworthy. It’s dependable and trustworthy!

Many times, we find ourselves clinging to a particular verse or passage of scripture, especially when we’re going through something or seeking God for an answer to our prayer. His Word gives us hope, it encourages us, it’s there to help us through any and every thing! But we must do our part – we must spend time studying, meditating, memorizing and applying God’s Word to our lives. We must exercise our faith in our Heavenly Father, and allow Him to work in/through us and our situations – trusting that He knows what’s best for us, and believing that He wants His best for us.

His Word meets every one of our needs. There is not a single thing that happens to us that #1 – He’s not aware of, #2 – that He hasn’t equipped us to handle and #3 – that He can’t deliver us from. His Word IS His bond! His Word is true and we can count on Him to do just what He said! He won’t let us down, He won’t fail us, He’s got us in the palm of His hand and nobody and nothing can pluck us out! Just remember, when we can’t trace His hand, when we can’t see Him working, we can trust His heart – He loves us! And there is nothing we can do to mess that part up! HALLELUJAH!!!

Prayer: Father, thank You for never changing! No matter how fickle we are, You are consistently YOU! You love us, bless us, keep us, provide for us, and protect us! Your attributes are endless! THANK YOU FATHER that Your Word never returns to You void – it covers us, it corrects us, it encourages us, it exhorts us to good works that bring You the glory You so rightfully deserve all of the glory! Thank You that You count us worthy to be called Your children! Thank You that our lacking performance and disobedience never cause You to stop loving us! We are so grateful for how You work in and through our lives. Forgive us for not trusting You as we should. Forgive us for leaning on our own understanding. Forgive us for not acknowledging You in all our ways and following the path that You have set before us. Help us to remember Your promises are Yea and Amen! In Jesus’ Name we always pray … AMEN!
