Entering The Potter\'s House

Scripture: Jeremiah 18:1-6 - The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying: 2 “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” 3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. 4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. 5 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 6 “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the Lord. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!

Lord, I am submitting to you my mind, body, and soul
You are the potter, I am the clay, please take control

The issues of life are unapologetically playing a dominate role
This clay requires Your loving hands for change to unfold

Finally, I am open to hear Your divine sentiments
You chasten me, so I know Your love is legitimate

I am empty without shape, I’ve drawn from things of old
Its only Your loving hands that can create a well pleasing mold

So, restore this vessel, as I place You in Your rightful place
You’re the potter, I’m the clay, shape me in Your own way

Lord, remove the blemishes, fix the internal and external damages
Give me Your peace and joy, so when trouble come, I can handle it

Convict me when I attempt to leave the Potters chair
It’s the love You have for me that gives me hope when in despair

Therefore, I’m making myself comfortable in the Potters house to inherit His plans
The changes in my life are because I’ve allowed Him to mold me with His loving hands

Prayer:  Lord, you are the Potter, I am the clay. I’m so ever grateful that you haven’t taken your hands off me, despite me.  Mold me into what You want to be. Use me to Your glory. I come to You in the name of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
