He Made Man in His Image

Scripture: (Genesis 1:26-27)  God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Psalm (139: 13-14) For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.

Before the beginning of time our Omniscience GOD already knew what to expect from the heart of mankind. Even before He made the decision to create man is His own image (Genesis 1-26) He was prepared knowing that His beautiful creation, His prize possession and His masterpiece would fall. (Genesis 3:1-13) Adam and Eve fell because of their disobedience to God their HOLY Creator, their Master Designer. Their fall was not GOD’s fault nor did it prove that GOD had failed. Their personal sin brought forth their personal consequences. (Genesis 3:14-19)

No matter how great their sin, nor how great their consequences GOD’s Sovereign Love toward them was greater. The Master Designer would never forsake His beautiful creation, His prize possession and He would never forsake His work of art.  Sin drove them from the garden, but the Master Designer ‘s unfailing Sovereign love covered their sin with the tunics of skin that He and He alone could provide. (Genesis 3:21) Throughout the Old testament we read where mankind continued to sin, continued to suffer consequences yet God’s Sovereign Love toward them would never fail. Our Omniscience God had an unfailing plan for mankind.

The New Testament proclaimed this undisputed truth, for as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. (Romans 5:19). Our Creator and Master Designer’s cure for sin is God Himself in the person on Jesus Christ. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:21).

As Christians we must be persuaded that our Sovereign GOD, our Creator, our Master Designer will never forsake His prize possession and His work of art. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Designer’s Original
Before the beginning, God knew what you would be, He knew all the plans that he had for you and me,
So he carefully scheduled the course of our days, That we would give him the glory, the honor and praise
You're a designer’s original, you're one of a kind, Created by the master with one purpose in mind,
To be a showcase of His  glory for the whole world to see, A reflection of His beauty as it shines through you and me.

Prayer: Eternal Heavenly Father in the name of my King of Glory Jesus I bow. You declared that You know the plans that you have for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future. May I accept by faith that your sovereign plans are always for your Highest Glory.
