Salvation is a Finished Matter

Scripture:  Romans 13:11 - And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

The Lord Jesus Christ saved me from the penalty of sin
I confessed and repented, I was cleansed and forgiven

It’s encouraging to know salvation is a finished matter
Preparation for spiritual warfare needs this assuring factor

My righteous position, growth, and completion thrives overtime
Salvation is a spiritual process that indicates my status timeline

Salvation adds to my armor a purpose in a precise fashion
It’s considered a divine process of THEN, NOW, and AFTER

This gift was first acquired THEN for my justification
His death was my death which represented my identification

NOW, I am being sanctified like Christ within
My mind, attitude, and action should resemble Him

No longer I fight for victory, but from victory
Saved from the power of sin outwardly and inwardly

NOW, believers may experience some anxiety or groaning
Anticipating the return of Christ, yet this day is unknowing

Finally, the AFTER WHILE aspect of salvation is weathered
Saved completely, redemption of the body, I am glorified forever

So, in preparation for war, my armor is set for protection
My timeline for salvation will mirror Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection

Prayer
Lord! You are awesome! We can serve boldly with confidence. Salvation is sealed says, Ephesians 1:13. We are grateful it’s a settled matter. Now, its our duty to advocate, demonstrate, and validate Christ’s love through our choices, behaviors, and works. We will be careful to give You all the honor and glory in the name of Jesus. Amen!
