A GREAT Entrance
Scriptures: Isaiah (7:14) Therefore the LORD Himself will give you a sign: Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call HIS name Immanuel. - Isaiah (9: 6-7) For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon HIS shoulder, And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (7a) Of the increase of His government and peace there will no end, upon the throne of David and over His Kingdom.
Throughout the Old Testament God continued to display His endless love to mankind. In Genesis we read that He created man in His image. (Genesis 1:26) in (Isaiah 7:14) We read where God would reveal Himself to mankind by a prophetic Great Entrance. He had already pre-ordained the people, the location and the birth room to follow out HIS magnificent entrance. They were all chosen to honor and worship the birth of God our Savior, God our King of kings and God our Lord of lords.
Matthew (1:18-23) Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: after His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. (19) Then Joseph her husband a just man not wanting to make her a public example, was mindful to put her away secretly. (20) But while he thought about these things, behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.” (21) And she shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins. (23) “Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bear a SON, and they shall call HIS name Immanuel, which is translated God with us”.
Luke (1:26...) Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, (27) to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. (28) And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women. (30) Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary for you have found favor with God (31) “And behold you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. (32) “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
Luke (2: 4-15) Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house of and lineage of David, (5) to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife who was with child. (6) So, it was while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. (7) And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid HIM in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. (8) Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. (9) And behold, an angel of Lord stood before them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, they were greatly afraid. (10) Then the angel said to them Do not be afraid, for behold I bring you tidings of GREAT Joy which will be to all people. (11) For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (15) So it was, when the angles had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.”
Prayer: Eternal, Father God, Jesus, King of kings, Lord of lords, I bow my heart and cry out create within me a clean heart. You are the God of all flesh and there is nothing to hard for you to do in me and through me for your eternal glory.
