The God-Man Glorified
SCRIPTURE: “…who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high…” Hebrews 1:3
The Lord Jesus Christ is 100% God and 100% Man, the God-Man!!! His emptying was an unquenchable, over-flowing, inexhaustible, exceedingly abundant climax of humiliation. Christ went to the depths of darkness and sin to obtain our salvation. Therefore, there is no height or depth of His exaltation.
The exaltation was the reward of His humiliation. He was highly exalted; raised to the supreme position; exalted beyond measure. The whole Person of the Lord Jesus Christ was exalted to honor and power. The Lord Jesus Christ was “Emptied to be Filled and Filled to be Emptied.”
I love the song by Marvin Sapp entitled “Praise Him in Advance.” When God has given you a word from His Word that causes your heart to be overwhelmed because of Who He is, then worship and praise Him in advance. Before we can become successful warriors for Christ, we must become sincere worshipers of Christ.
PRAYER: Psalm 145:1-3 “I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.”
