Realizing We Are Blessed During Christmas

SCRIPTURE: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He [a]made us accepted in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and [b]prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, [c]both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. 13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who[d] is the [e]guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” Ephesians 1:3-14

We are grateful to know where our blessings come from,
Christmas brings to light what the Lord has already done.

This time of year reminds us of how blessed we really are,
Valuing the blessed Gift, who we celebrate as the real Star.

Jesus is the reason for blessed encounters and life-altering accounts,
More than we can name, more than we can describe, more than we can count.

Realizing we are blessed, but not because of our abilities,
Realizing we are blessed because of His divine amenities.

Time after time, He has shown Himself faithful and able,
Realizing blessings are official once shared with neighbors.

He does a good work in us so we can exhibit His grace,
Realizing blessings have a purpose, so others will begin to chase.

Blessed to have experienced God's favor while obtaining spiritual riches,
Blessed to have experienced unmerited grace and mercy through forgiveness.

Realizing that being blessed informs me and others, we are overcomers,
Realizing being blessed informs me and others, no matter what, I’m covered.

Even when matters are pending and circumstances are uncertain,
Even when doors are closed, I may be concerned, but not worried.

Blessed is the peace that surpasses all understanding,
Witnesses asking, how is it they fall, yet remain standing.

Realizing we are blessed due to His sympathy, compassion, and mercy,
Still failing and falling short, but the Lord doesn’t condemn you or me.

Our troubles, sins, and sufferings steadily develop, come, and go,
Failures, evil, and hardship remain while we contend against foes.

So, we may glance at our issues, circumstances, and problems,
But a blessing is to keep our eyes on Christ and trust He will solve them.

We can rejoice and say, we are blessed and highly favored,
We can testify that we are blessed through our Lord and Savior.

So, during this Christmas holiday, the world may be excited about gifts and presents,
But when you realize how blessed we really are, we are more excited about His presence.

PRAYER: We are blessed and highly favored because of our Lord and Savior. Your faithfulness and love for us are unmatched. Your blessings are endless! Thank You, Lord! In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ!
