Christ is All

SCRIPTURE: “…where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.” Colossians 3:11
“He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.”
Ephesians 4:10
I thought I was satisfied with knowing Jesus Christ came to earth to be our Emmanuel - God with us (Isaiah 7:14).  Then I was listening to a radio pastor who highlighted that Bethlehem means House of Bread.  Bethlehem, is the birthplace of Christ.  So, God with us, also known as the Bread of Heaven and the Bread of Life was born at the House of Bread. In this carb controlled diet era, it is comforting to know in Christ, we can enjoy the all-sufficient spiritual bread that ensures we will never hunger and thirst again.

Christ coming to die for the world to satisfy the holy demands of God against us is absolutely amazing.  Therefore, at this time of year, Jesus is worthy of commemoration and celebration.  He is Christmas!  Only the Christ; yes, the Anointed One was and is qualified to redeem the world.

Jesus Christ, the lover of our souls, is the Son of God!  He is the Holy One and Redeemer, Lord and Sovereign King.  The Son of God was born as a man child (the incarnate God). This is why He is the only suitable Bread and Hope of life in this sinful and dark world. Christ gives men who receive Him the right to become the children of God.  Yes, Jesus Christ is our Salvation; for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12)!  Hallelujah!

We must resolve to the truth:  Jesus is our all and all. Without Him, we have no light, life or hope.  He is able to sustain us, for again, He is the Bread of Life.  He makes life on this side of eternity palatable, possible, even.  He gives us everything we need…and for that we say, thank You, Jesus!

PRAYER: Lord, we have no place else to go.  You, Oh Lord, satisfy our souls.  We needed You, Jesus and You came and demonstrated Your love even while we were Your enemies.  You are our God; and we are Your people.  All Power belongs to You; and You are with us! May we forever see You high and lifted-up that we may glorify and magnify Your Name in all the earth!  In Your Most Precious Name, Lord Jesus, we pray-Amen!
