MY STRENGTH. MY SONG. MY SALVATION.

SCRIPTURE: "The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation."  Psalm 118:14
This verse, within this chapter, is clearly 'remnant' language, the language of those totally sold out for God, for Christ. "O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever.[Psalm 118:29]" Amen. It is definitive. It is assertive. It is so central as to be eccentric. It is bold and loud, yet capable as a whisper. It is a clarion call and it is a lullaby. It exceeds the biggest possible billboard, and fits cozily within the smallest font. It is powerful. "The Lord is my strength."

It is other-worldly and inescapably relational. It is prescriptive. It pushes and pulls, and uplifts, and offers a model of heavenly hopefulness while on our earthly sojourn. It is our banner and our cry. It is the soil for our godliest laughter and the impetus for the holiest of strains. It's a promise, and an assurance. It is golden! "The Lord is my... song..."

"God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light. [Psalm 118:27]" Amen. It is sandwiched between the shortest psalm [Psalm 117] expressing highly the believers' uttermost affection, and the longest psalm [Psalm 119] detailing deeply the high regard for 'thus saith the Lord'.
It abides in the guts of 'the good book'. It shines as Jesus' name! Yeshua. "The Lord is my... salvation. [Psalm 118:14]"  Upon this glorious understanding, "this is the day that the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. [Psalm 118:24]" Now matters, and...Upon this glorious understanding, our faith, we shall behold Him, face to face: My strength, my song, and my salvation.

The remnant have lips and they speak as David, as Abraham, as Moses, as Noah, as Esther, as Daniel, as Job, as Ruth, as Jabez, as Mary, as John, as Paul, and as Peter. Amen.
The remnant have lips and they speak as Zacchaeus, 'the woman at the well', 'the leper made whole,' blind Bartimaeus, the Ethiopian eunuch, even Lazarus. Amen.

Now, may we, as family and friends, sanctify the Lord God in our own hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to everyone that asks for a reason of the hope that is in us with meekness and reverence [1 Peter 3:15]. Amen! Remember, God is our strength, our song, and our salvation. Praise Jesus!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, hear my plea; "Preserve me, O God: for in Thee do I put my trust. [Psalm 15:1]" Let me, O Lord, so grow, and as well sow - all to Your glory. However measured, if measurable, Your increase is beautifully all blessing. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
