In the Name of LOVE

SCRIPTURE: “The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell in it forever. The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of justice. The law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide. The wicked watches the righteous,  and seeks to slay him. The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.” Psalm 37:29-33
Something we may all struggle with, is loving those who have made it quite clear they do not love us. Love by God’s standards is never subjective, but it is imperative. Our Lord demonstrated His love in that while we were rebelling against Him, He died for us so that we could be reconciled to the Godhead and escape the horrors of hell. Therefore, we have no excuse(s) that would be able to stand for when we have decided that another is not worthy of our mercy and love. God closed the book on any of our objections to demonstrate love.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled (2 Corinthians 10:3-6). In Christ, we have royal priesthood privileges to love. Yes, we are already lovingly seated in the “Heavenlies”. We are “His workmanship” created to walk in good works (Ephesians 2:10).

Therefore, we welcome the Lord’s wisdom of love, forgiveness, and restoration. There is no action done by any man that can overtake His protection of us. We do not ever have to lose heart in our circumstances and relationships. No, for God is a Holy God; His righteousness; yes, His justice endures forever! We can remain confident that our Lord is on the Throne and in complete control. He secures our triumphant stance in doing what pleases Him.

PRAYER: Dear God, forgive us for our selfish desires of vengeance. Help us to rise above what we can see, feel and touch; and live by faith in Your Son, Jesus the Christ...all so we may promote Your kingdom and be the light as You have called us to be in this dark world. Only in and by You, can we please You in the way we walk, exist, and have our being on this side of eternity. We believe and we embrace You.  You will never leave us and You will always cause us to love, conquer, and overcome! In Jesus’ Name-Amen!

Bless God, for He is merciful, and His mercies endure forever. His mercy welcomes our own as we abide.
