Ouch Lord You’re Maturing Me
SCRIPTURE: “Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11

Daniel responded right to authority, thereby, having God’s favor upon his life. When we do things according to our own desires and will, we make trouble for ourselves. Therefore, we should maintain close fellowship with the Lord and ask for wisdom in our circumstances.
As the Lord, in His humanity was obedient to God the Father, how much more should we be obedient to the Lord because of His great forgiveness. Hebrews 12:9 says, “Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?” When our parents chastened us, it helped us to grow. It did not always feel good, but when done in wisdom we learned some things.
Respect for God equals submission to His will, and those who willingly receive the Lord’s chastening will have a richer, more abundant life. Chastisement must be accepted with the right spirit for the right result. It is not a matter of accepting a minor chastisement with grace, but seeing chastisement as a “habit of life.” When that’s present, then “the peaceable fruit of righteousness follows.”
PRAYER: Thank You Jesus that when I don’t understand Your Hand upon me, I can indeed trust Your precious heart. You are always working in my life for an outcome that brings You Glory.

Ouch, ouch, ouch Lord...Thank You for the pain!
Thank You Lord for Your message of perfect and perfecting love, and for the dear messengers sharing it for our hearing and seeing. Prime the ears of our hearts Lord, and lift our earthy gaze to be heavenly, and moved to bless You and those whom You love. Let there be faith in action that our page within the 'everlasting story' boasts a unique brightness for the presence of Christ. May Jesus be praised!
Amen Sister Cheryl! We grow in our maturity through knowledge of the gospel!!
Amen. Lord You are always there, even when it feels like You are not.
The pruning of God produces a mature believer. Ouch, Lord you are maturing me, indeed. So thankful for His grace and mercy through this process.
