TELL SOMEBODY

SCRIPTURE: "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear."
It is better to share the most important news of all with strangers than with no one! I’m talking about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you’re burdened to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with souls on their way to a torturous eternity upon exiting this world, then why not share that gospel with as many strangers as you can? We can’t all go to foreign soil to be international missionaries! The Lord will not hold that against us.

Before you share, be sure to pray about every encounter, including [or should I say especially those] with family members with whom you’ve yet to share the gospel. Serving as one of Christ’s “domestic ambassadors,” in keeping with 2 Corinthians 5:20, is a much-needed commitment—for every Christ follower, not just those holding the title of “pastor” or “bishop,” etc. The command found in Matthew 28:19, 20, to “go ye into all the world,” was never restricted to those holding theology degrees. At the very least you will not be guilty of sitting on the greatest news that any soul could possibly share with another! You don’t have to be especially clever in your sharing of this Great News (the Gospel of Jesus Christ); nor do you have to be able to answer every theological question imaginable.

Following a clear and concise presentation of the gospel, if they reject it—as most typically do-- marvel not; many rejected our Lord during His earthly miracle-laden ministry and subsequent resurrection! Their rejection, of course, did not quell the spread of the greatest act of deliverance ever accomplished by Jesus Christ on behalf of every believing soul. “Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.” John 13:16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please deliver us who know You from having greater fear of what people will think or say about us than we do about ignoring Your election of us as Your Good News ambassadors.

Amen! It, the gospel, is "the power of God unto salvation", sufficient to justify, to sanctify, and Amen, bring one into His glory! As our hearts allow, across our lips, may speaking lean upon the gift.
