War Time Story

SCRIPTURE: “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day
whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
This verse proclaimed by Joshua, I feel, use to carry greater weight and popularity with the saints of God. It represented a determined stance of our connection to our great God’s
Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Immutability. However, today, saints in essential roles, such as, parents, pastors, leaders seem to be caving. Society is driving new ideas; yes, and in many cases these ideas are “directly” diametrically opposed to what our God has said.

Those of us who claim to believe God are called to step-up and rightfully denounce all of what this dark world offers. We should not be distracted by or given to any of our strategic demonic societal pressures. I say “our” because the pressures are set-up for us to clearly see the lengths, by which, the enemy is willing to-go-to; he aims to render the Christian mission ineffective and powerless. But God! We must choose whom will we serve. God has given us power to be His epistles, yes, even His stewards of a great proclamation; and we must with great fervor and passion, declare the God of the Bible and His Christ as the only WAY, TRUTH & LIFE! He is with us so we do not have to fold from our responsibility against these “light & only for a moment” worldly pressures.

Therefore, just as Israel, we have surrendered territory that was given to us to behold, such as congregations, co-workers, family members, our children, etc. God is with us! We no longer have to make excuses and blur the lines and boundaries due to convenience and our timidity. We can repent and put away all other gods. We can boldly preach and uphold the TRUTH (only what God has said) in every season. In a world swayed by the evil one, we must wisely grasp: ‘there is never a time to passively respond to sin and satan’s systems’. We must sincerely, and intentionally embrace God’s message to victoriously keep, and take back territory in and with the name of Jesus, the Christ!

PRAYER: Lord, we thank You for all of what we call STRENGTH and MIGHT...for we know they come from You! We have no better strategy or power outside of Your Son, the Christ. In You, Oh Lord, we have Salvation, Faith, Prayer, and the ability to Stand for TRUTH, to be victorious and triumphant on this side of eternity. In Jesus’ Name.-Amen!
